FLAMIN' GROOVIES - LIVE AT THE OLD WALDORF (1981)
After David Wright had left, a new drummer Brittley Black (from Crime) was recruited and the Groovies also drafted Mark Dunwoody (from Kid Courage) to add keyboards to the live set. The Groovies played on, with only poorly attended gigs in San Francisco. Even the choice of covers was becoming more than a little suspect - with bizarre inclusions like Graham Parker's Soul Shoes! Chris liked Mark Dunwoody personally but "somehow" Shake Some action" with a keyboard in there going...mi.mi..mi! Chris Wilson would left later same year. (B.O.B)
Special note: This catchy 15th Anniversary Concert (soundboard source) was given to me some years ago. I made a special artwork for the blog.
