TRIBUTES OR NOT TRIBUTES VOL. 17 (2021)
It's been more than one year we are experiencing those troubled times, and during the last 110 days i was thinking about locking down PPC (you know it will happen one day), but during the same time i noticed that i had never heard so many covers posted all around the world within a year, and it is true that new covers were coming day after day, so the idea of a new volume began to grow recently.
As usual, i know that plenty of people don't like covers and are saying "who need those versions", but i will always think that without some songs covered by The Fab Four, the Ramones, the Beach Boys et al, i wouldn't have never dig deeper in the roots of the sound i love. And i'm still discovering some classic or more obscure tunes covered here for the first time or the umpteenth time.
and just like Johnny Ramone used to say:
"Go back and learn the history.
Go back to the beginning of rock 'n'roll
and listen to everything that went down".
Once again, it is available in lossy and lossless formats with the usual
set of custom artwork, (even though, i know only a few will ever print
the artwork), including full details of the bands involved.
All the covers included here were lifted from lossless CD's, LP's,
singles or digital downloads (even though a few ones seem to have been
lossy mastered - audiochecker file added)
