NEIL HARRISON - ALL DRESSED UP & NOWHERE TO GO (1974)
Neil Harrison played John Lennon for 32 years in the tribute band "The Bootleg Beatles". he then became their manager.
In 1970, Neil Harrison released his first album with Driftwood on Decca. The album flopped and with years going has become a much sought-after LP fetching high (ridiculous) prices almost everywhere. Disappointed with music, Neil Harrison lived in London working as a van driver, but his recording demos allowed him to draw attention and signing a publishing contract. In 1972, he first released a single "Maybe I'm Lost Without You" on Sparks. In 1974, he was signed on Deram (Decca sub-label) and his first single was "Eyes In The Back Of My Head". The album "All Dressed Up And Nowhere To Go" followed the same year but didn't sell so well. Once again, the album became a rarity and is now selling for extremely ridiculous high prices. Just a shame that everybody can't afford to listen to this lost gem because the album is filled with plenty of beatlesque tunes and beatleisms. A must have (at least in FLAC format).

PHYSICALS - BE LIKE ME (1980)
The Physicals were fronted by Alan lee Shaw, whose career began, after leaving art school, in music projects with Twink. Previously he had formed the short-lived "The Rings" - one excellent single on Chiswick "I Wanna Be Free / Automobile" (1977) - with 'Twink' Alder & drummer Rod Latter, then he quickly assembled the Maniacs with bassist Robert Crash.
A year later, Shaw formed The Physicals, who released a punk 7" EP "All Sexed Up" and this gem of a Power Pop single, with Paul Cook as a producer and also playing drums.

ROY LONEY AND THE PHANTOM MOVERS
THE SCIENTIFIC BOMBS AWAY!! (1988)
First released in Australia, the album got a domestic release in the USA only two months later in 1989. Norton Records didn't only change the artwork of the album but they also dropped one song "Nervous Slim" from the Australian edition but added two new songs "Send In The Girls" and Steppin' Around" and changed the track sequence. Whereas the Australian album was available in CD and Vinyl formats, the US edition has never been released in CD format. "The Scientific Bombs Away!!" was also the last Roy Loney album with The Phantom Movers. He would return in 1994 with his new band The Longshots for the excellent "Full Grown Head"

THE NEIGHBORHOODS - REPTILE MEN (1987)
Back in 2007, i posted the first two Neighborhoods albums "Fire Is Coming" and "The High Hard One" here, but i had never made a vinyl transfer of their third album "Reptile Men" just because it was available on CD. The CD edition has two bonus songs (coming from Fire Is Coming". But as the CD is tricky to find at a reasonable price, i recently made the transfer and shared here with all the PPC readers.
