It Was 51 Years Ago - A Celebration

ALL THINGS MUST PASS AGAIN (2021)

As you may remenber, ATMP was a 3 LP's set, four sides of rock/pop songs and two sides of Apple Jam. So, this new revival of the multi-platinum album is based upon the first two LP's. The Apple Jam record has been obvioulsy omitted. So you only get the 18 rock/pop songs plus a bonus (the only sung track of the third LP) The usual set of custom artwork includes full details of the bands involved.

The most famous songs from the album have been covered plenty of times, i have listened to a lot of mawkish versions, so you won't be surprised that you won't get any of those, the collection trying to be more power pop than M.O.R. The problem is that some artists only take the soft side of the songs without the rock side of Lennon and so you get so many lame versions. 110 Days Later

TRIBUTES OR NOT TRIBUTES VOL. 17 (2021)

It's been more than one year we are experiencing those troubled times, and during the last 110 days i was thinking about locking down PPC (you know it will happen one day), but during the same time i noticed that i had never heard so many covers posted all around the world within a year, and it is true that new covers were coming day after day, so the idea of a new volume began to grow recently.

As usual, i know that plenty of people don't like covers and are saying "who need those versions", but i will always think that without some songs covered by The Fab Four, the Ramones, the Beach Boys et al, i wouldn't have never dig deeper in the roots of the sound i love. And i'm still discovering some classic or more obscure tunes covered here for the first time or the umpteenth time.

and just like Johnny Ramone used to say:

"Go back and learn the history.

Go back to the beginning of rock 'n'roll

and listen to everything that went down".

Once again, it is available in lossy and lossless formats with the usual set of custom artwork, (even though, i know only a few will ever print the artwork), including full details of the bands involved. All the covers included here were lifted from lossless CD's, LP's, singles or digital downloads (even though a few ones seem to have been lossy mastered - audiochecker file added)
