VARIOUS - DREAMLAND WITH THE POP SNOWFLAKES (2008)
A long time ago, the first Christmas compilation i ever bought was the Phil Spector's "A Christmas Blog Gift For You", actually this is the Christmas album by which all later holiday releases had to be judged, and it has inspired a host of imitators including myself. So after "A Christmas Blog Gift For You" (2006) and "Another Christmas Blog Gift For You" (2007), this is my third Christmas special compiling some of the best Christmas carols recorded by phenomenal powerpop combos. Have a Merry Christmas, and enjoy.

VARIOUS - 21st CENTURY SANTA (Christmas Special) (2015)
Enjoy the spirit of Christmas...  After nine years of Christmas Power Pop, i'm really proud to share with all the PPC readers the 10th collection. This new compilation is the first one to include an amazing Christmas song performed in french by Tommy Lorente (his first album was ranked #44 in the 2014 David Bash Top 125).

21st Century Santa is available in both lossy and lossless formats.
All the songs included on this collection were compiled from CD's or official digital downloads. Out of the 26 songs, auCDtect found 1 song (from an official CD) as MPEG 95%.

The Last PPC Christmas

THE LAST CHRISTMAS (BACK TO MONO) (2021)

As you may have guessed, this is probably the very last PPC Xmas compilation (another volume of "Tributes or Not Tributes" was in the oven, but i don't think i'll be able to finish it). Anyway, this Christmas collection was almost completed before the sudden hearing loss, so i only had to make the artwork during the past few weeks and now it is shared here on PPC.

This is approximately the 143th PPC compilation (and the 16th Xmas one) made over the last 15 years, and in my opinion this is a nice ending to the PPC posts.

Enjoy this brand new Christmas Gift

CHRISTMAS - TIC TAC MISTLETOE (2013)

Here we go again, time of the holiday season is ringing in your jingle ears. 8th year of the PPC seasonal venture. All previous volumes are still available and quite enjoyable. So, if you want them, you can get them (even though those are RS links). "A Christmas Blog Gift For You" (2006), "Another Christmas Blog Gift For You - Born To Greet" (2007), "Dreamland With The Pop Snowflakes" (2008) or "Santa Claus & The Powerpop Criminals (2009), The Magnificent Seven (2010). Sleigh Bells In The Snow (2011) and Christmas VII The Final Episode (2012). Thanks for visiting the PPC Blog, and have a cool yule!...Enjoy the spirit of Christmas... and don't forget to comment about this piece of Peace On Earth.

This year, all the songs (minus one) are lossless sourced, this is why i'd like to thank Joe Algeri (a.k.a The JAC) for giving me the lossless version of the classic "What Child Is This?" by The Britannicas (with Herb Eimerman on lead vocals). So far, it was only available as a free download mp3 (bitrate 160). You can visit his Bandcamp pages here ...and purchase what you want..Check also ""I See Things Differently", a Joe Algeri compilation of various (vaguely) Christmas themed songs that have been released annually over the past decade.

A special Xmas Gift for all the Power Pop addicts. This brand new single has been sent by The Kavanaghs. The spirit of Power Pop Christmas is here to stay with jingle bells, glockenspiel and good vibrations...Merry Christmas. Great artwork too.

THE CL*SH - SOUNDS' BOARD GAME (1979)

Around Christmas 1979, the now defunct Sounds rock weekly gave to its readers a surprise gift. It was some kind of "Snakes & Ladders" board game about the first part of the Cl*sh career (1977-79)

Spreading over a paper double page (70cm x 56cm or 27" x 21"), the game had the four members of the band, and some tricky cards (10 Cl*sh Cards & 10 Street Credibility Cards) in order to play.

So, i have scanned the whole set, stitched the 8 parts of the board and sliced them in order to get them ready to be printed if you want to play the game. I also scanned the band members and the card games. You'll only have to cut out the cards and the figures to play the Cl*sh events some 30 years later.

LINK (184mb)

Here are the elements featured:

1 Board Game (70cm x 56cm or 27" x 21") + 8 A4 parts ready to be printed
10 Cl*sh Cards
10 Street Credibility Cards
4 band members (Joe, Mick, Paul & Topper)
All you've to do is to print the elements featured and grab some dice. Have fun.
