RED RIVER - TEXAS ADVICE (1990)
Very little is known about Red River indeed, so here's what the famous Frank Beeson wrote about the band in a BOB review.
"Red River is a power trio hailing from Texas-via-L.A. Fronted by virtuoso guitarist Billy Ray Martin, Red River is one of SoCal's greatest new finds. Billy Ray can thunderously plow through a slide guitar with enough expertise to challenge Z.Z. Top's Billy Gibbons. When bassist Suzy Mae takes the lead vocals, she sounds a bit like Joan Jett, and when she sings a duet with Billy Ray, the vocal blend recalls X. Red River are flowing strong".
They first released a mini LP in 1988 on french label New Rose which was included as bonus tracks with their full length "Texas Advice."
Songs
Ride-Ride-Ride / Texas Advice / Comin' To You Live / At The Roadhouse Tonite / V-8 Chrome And Wings / I'll Drink Your Blooze / Come On Over / Talkin' To Me / Dry County Blues / Something's Gotta Give / Ain't Workin' No More / Goin' Down / Broke Again / Mercury / Lucky Tonight / Fools Paradise / Cheap Thrills / The City Doesn't Weep
