VARIOUS - GET YOUR HOOKS ON ROUTE 66 (2009)
A few weeks ago, just after the "Illinois vs. California" i made with Curt from PPO, i had completed the "Summer Songs" compilation. So, a few days ago i worked again on the Route 66 project and finally completed it. Of course, one 80 minutes compilation for the Route 66 is rather short, but all the states between Illinois and California are featured with some famous bands and lesser known acts.
Special note: Please take notice of the song title of the track #14 featured on the compilation.
Click on pix for details of the bands involved.

Hi! I used to play Bass Guitar for Gary Charlson in one of the bands that he was involved with in his pre "Gary Charlson" solo days. That band was a bar band called DYNAFLO. We were basically loud, white-trash top 40 rock and roll, with a few originals (-"Gary" songs-). It's cool to see blogs like yours knowing about, and promoting a fine artist like Gary. He is a great guy with a great voice, good chops and a fantastic sense of humor. It's too bad that huge success passed him by.
Thank for your great blog. I follow you religiously, finding lost gems all along the way!
Regards,
Steve
What a great idea! And "If He's So Great" by The Resonars has to be one of the best songs ever! Thank you.
Where is the Twilley song, "Tulsa Girl" from?
it is from an unofficial album of "outtakes & demos".
What a great, fun idea!!
"it is from an unofficial album of "outtakes & demos". "
For a Twilley fan, that's like saying the first try of the drug is free...
Can we PLEASE hear what else you have on that unofficial album????
