ROY LONEY AND THE PHANTOM MOVERS
THE SCIENTIFIC BOMBS AWAY!! (1988)
First released in Australia, the album got a domestic release in the USA only two months later in 1989. Norton Records didn't only change the artwork of the album but they also dropped one song "Nervous Slim" from the Australian edition but added two new songs "Send In The Girls" and Steppin' Around" and changed the track sequence. Whereas the Australian album was available in CD and Vinyl formats, the US edition has never been released in CD format. "The Scientific Bombs Away!!" was also the last Roy Loney album with The Phantom Movers. He would return in 1994 with his new band The Longshots for the excellent "Full Grown Head"

THE NEIGHBORHOODS - REPTILE MEN (1987)
Back in 2007, i posted the first two Neighborhoods albums "Fire Is Coming" and "The High Hard One" here, but i had never made a vinyl transfer of their third album "Reptile Men" just because it was available on CD. The CD edition has two bonus songs (coming from Fire Is Coming". But as the CD is tricky to find at a reasonable price, i recently made the transfer and shared here with all the PPC readers.

DARIAN & NICK - DEMOS (PRE-WONDERMINTS) (1988-1990)
In their early days, before the Wondermints even existed,  Darian & Nick would share a 4-track Portastudio cassette recorder, these recordings started off as what we can call them now the pre-Wondermints demos. Before recording their own songs, the duo recorded ten covers plus their first original song "No One's Girl" (written by Nick). The first Wondermints releases would later surface in 1992-1994 with their self-released tapes: the Blue, Purple and Green.

As usual, I have made a custom artwork

WALTER CLEVENGER - ODDS AND SODS (2019)
On the same template as the Lolas and Ed James collections of rarities (tributes, compilations et al...), i have compiled all the tracks recorded by Walter Clevenger, either alone or with his Dairy Kings. Walter Clevenger has released four albums plus a tricky to find mini-album "Around The Corner" (2002) that was featuring four songs unavailable elsewhere, so they have been added to this collection.  I have also included some demos never commercially released by Walter Clevenger plus a couple of tracks recorded with his new band The Rubilators. Of course all the demos are of excellent audio quality but they are still lossy sourced. All the officially released tracks are sourced from the original CD's and are lossless.

As usual, I have made a complete set of artwork
for this PPC compilation.
For the time being it's only available in lossy format
because there are seven lossy songs (out of 29).

THE BLADES - HOT FOR YOU (1980)
Paul Cleary asked his brother Laurence to join The Blades, a punk rock band he had formed to play at a hall in Ringsend in 1977. Although they started with Pat Larkin, Joey Donnelly and Johnny Burke in the line-up, they later reduced to a three-piece when Donnelly and Burke left. Laurence took the stage name 'Lar Schreiber', the band signed to 'Energy Records' and released their first single, a power pop masterpiece "Hot For You" in May 1980. The single was produced by Sean Tyla and Mark Dodson.
