PAGLIARO (1975)
After a brief stay with The Rockers, Pagliaro moved from RCA to CBS. So, in 1975 he released two brand new albums "Pagliaro" et "Pagliaro I". Actually, it was the same album but one was sung in french (Pagliaro) whereas the other one (Pagliaro I) was in English. Some songs can be heard on both albums, such as "Louise" or "Faire Le Trottoir" (Walking The Dog), but there was also some new versions such as "J'entends Frapper" (How Does It Feel). The time was rather successful and Pagliaro shared the same bill with Peter Frampton in Toronto. Then he toured all over Canada. The album has never been reissued on CD though some of the songs can be heard on "Hit Parade" a 2-CD set including "Some Sing Some Dance" and "Loving You Ain't Easy" (two of the greatest powerpop songs ever written). any english albums?
I bumped into Pag at an ATM in Montreal, still has a full head of long hair but also a full beard streaked with massive amounts of gray. I told him J'antends Frapper was one of the great rock and roll songs of all time, not quite Satisfaction, but one I never get tired of....he just smiled...and backed away..
