THE INMATES - HEATWAVE IN ALASKA (1982)
According to AMG, "Heatwave In Alaska" doesn't even exist. Although the third and last of the Radar/WEA Inmates albums has never been released in England, it was available across the channel in 1982. About half of the album was included on the Inmates "Dirty Water" compilation (2001). This was the last Inmates album with the classic line-up just before Bill Hurley was replaced with Barrie Masters (two albums in 1984). After a brief solo career, Bill Hurley will join again in 1987 for the "Meet The Beatles" LP and further releases. The Inmates were produced by Stuart Colman and helped out by the Rumour brass section. They play seven originals and five covers (including "On The Beat", a Difford-Tilbrook song).

Gracias por compartir esta joyita que aparentemente solo se publicó en Francia y Alemania. A mí me lo grabó un amigo hace años en cassette y es un discazo.
Deeply appreciate the add - this is one of the handful of blogs I visit daily.
P.S. There was a third (original line-up) Inmates album? Even Trouser Press never mentioned that one. Cool.
Thanks for this. I never even knew it existed.
