NICK GILDER - YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE (1977)
Here's the the first Nick Gilder album "You Know Who You Are (1977), it was never reissued on CD, but a few songs were picked to appear on the Nick Gilder's Best Of (2001). Nick Gilder would have been a giant in the days of glitter. The first Nick Gilder album is indispensible for everybody who loves glitter powerpop. A terrific album.

Nick (252 mb)

Songs
All Across The Nation (The Wheels Are Rolling) / Backstreet Noise / Rated X / Poor Boy /Genevieve / Runaways In The Night / Roxy Roller / Amanda Greer / Tantalize / Fond Farewell / (Bonus) She's A Star (In Her Own Right)

Angelo,

I have been trying to find "She's a Star" for years! Now, how do I get this file onto my iTunes? (I use a Mac).

Hi!

It's me again - maybe Angelo, or anyone else who might have suggestions, can help me. I have the file, but I can't open it. Please email . . .

Dude! you're a star in your own right! I've been looking for that for years...now my Nick collection is complete. I've got Rock America and Body Talk Muzik on mp3 (from vinyl) if anybody wants 'em.

ps. I just bought a SEALED copy of Sweeney Todd which I'll upload as soon as I get it. And I just found If Wishes Were Horses with Roxy Roller and Rue de Chance sung by Bryan Adams.

Thanks, Angelo! You rock! I haven't heard this album in so long and, sadly, this seems to be the only place online to get it digitally. Awesome.

This one and Frequency are such underrated albums.

Was put on the trail of Nick Gilder by an old guy at work who couldn't find any of his albums 'anywhere'. Having promised that 'I would see what I could do' I found these gems (+ Rock America)
First time I have ever heard this guy and he's amaizing. Something very 'David Bowie' about his work. Almost as if he subconciously took a little of England with him when he moved to Canada, ey?

Superb post Angelo.
Big thanks as allways.
