THE WISHNIAKS - ALL DRESSED UP & NOWHERE TO GO (1992)

If you know "The Trolleyvox" from Philadelphia, you might know Andrew Chaffen previously played with his band "The Wishniaks". The Wishniaks proceeded to release an EP and two albums: Catch 33 (1990) and All Dressed Up and Nowhere to Go (1992), two singles, and a bunch of covers on tribute records. They even bribed MTV into playing their video twice at 1:30 in the morning. All this activity made them rather exhausted and grumpy, and so they called it a day. People keep inquiring about the Wishniaks. Andrew Chaffen then formed The Trolleyvox and released "The Karaoke Meltdown" (2006) and previously "Ephemera For The Future" (2000) "Leap Of Jolly" (2003) and can be heard on a couple of Tributes (Let's Active and also Stiff Records).
All of the Trolleyvox albums are available through any record store online but the Wishniaks are waiting for a CD reissue of their complete recordings. Andrew Chaffen can be heard also on the Shimmers album released 2006, but recorded around 1997 with Dave Bielanko (Marah), Eden Daniels & Chris Unrath (Baby Flamehead), and Jonathan Segel (Camper Van Beethoven).
