ROBERT KIRKLAND - KICK THE FUTURE (1986)

If you know the North Carolina band called "Arrogance", then you know who Robert Kirkland is. Anf if you know "Arrogance " , you also know Don Dixon , their bass player. After Arrogance split, Robert Kirkland formed Kick The Future, and recorded one album. His album "Kick the Future" was released only in Europe, then he began to question whether music should be his career. Eventually, he went into the business of designing and selling kitchen cabinets. But the Arrogance sound would never die, think about a band called "Fastball", if you see what i mean...

Songs
Uh Oh / The Flight Is Starting / Nothing To Fear / Little Girls Seem Bigger / Money's On The Warpath / Perfect Light / Teach Somebody / Whole Lotta Reasons / Nigel's Mind / You Give It All Up / She's So Dirty

Funnily enough, Robert Kirkland's niece is actually my editor at PortFolio Weekly, an alt-weekly in Hampton Roads, VA! (http://www.portfolioweekly.com)

Arrogance was the greatest. Can't wait for that reunion show in July.

But someone please tell me where I can find this album!!!! I can't find it anywhere...probably since it was only released in Europe, but even then you can usually find things on eBay. Any suggestions at all??

Well, I've had all the Arrogance stuff, because I know Dixon (& friends) pretty well...I found Kick the Future online somewhere...hardtofindrecordings.com, I think?? Yeah, that was it. That was the last one they had, though. Glad I found it when I did!! It was only released in Denmark...what the heck. Robert seemed pretty impressed when I told him I had it..."Where the heck did you find THAT?!"
