First and only Stiff 7" from The Adverts before they found fame and success with the macabre "Gary Gilmore's Eyes". Now on Chiswick, the anthemic "Motorhead" was released in July 1977, a few weeks before the first LP of the last of the Heavy Metal Power Trios.

The Adverts say it best, " The world is no fair we don't give a damn". As such Motorhead wins this round.
Fiuuuu....thanks!!
As much as I love Lemmy (one of the Great Living Englishmen), I give my nod to the Adverts for "One Chord Wonders," which was an inspiration to me. The audience's challenging lines, "We don't like you - go away, Come back when you've learnt to play"...we didn't quit, even though we sucks, we went on stage anyway. Such great times....
Speaking of Lemmy....did you know there is a fossil named after him?
"The fossil in question is a c. 428 million year old jaw of an extinct, marine polychaete annelid worm found in the Silurian strata of Gotland, Sweden. Its scientific name is Kalloprion Kilmisteri.”
