The first Johnny Moped single was supposed to be "Incendiary Device" but "stick it in her lughole" didn’t go down too well with Radio 1, so Chiswick switched it to the B side and promoted "No One". Some Elvis Costello singles were mispressed and had Max Wall's Dream Tobacco (BUY 12) as their b side instead of the regular "Mystery Dance".

EC wins this one. This was when he still meant it. Before he went Bonosting
Loving your current raft of Chiswick singles/EPs...
They are pretty much kicking Stiff around the block by a margin of 2 to 1 in my personal tally...
Now I have to register my vote...
On a totally unrelated note:
Some time back you had a post of Bob Segarini/Roxy self titled LP on Elektra (1969) that you took down because it had been rereleased on Bullseye... I went to their site and they no longer have it... any chance for a re-up?
As a young man at the time, we all want Moped, Moped and more Moped.... :-D
Never liked EC.
Best wishes from Sweden
Red shoes - probably EC's best and 1 of the best songs of the era.
Johnny Moped was going to have a hard time up against any other song - crass, adolescent, and musically extremely dull. Worth a listen for a laugh, after all this time of never wanting to hear him again, though.
Thanks
Chris
