First heard on the "A Bunch Of Stiffs" compilation, and more than two decades after its release, "Whole Wide World" has been included in Mojo magazine’s list of the best punk rock singles of all time. It was also acclaimed as one of the "top 40 singles of the alternative era 1975–2000". Jeff Hill released this excellent power pop single for Chiswick before being dropped by the label.

This is great. What a concept. How many more can we look forward too?
really hard to vote on this, two really great singles,i think i'll go for Jeff...
Unfair competition, has to be Eric.
Both sides.
I wasn't aware of the Ian dury connection until now, either.
Thanks
Chris
I had the good fortune to see Wreckless Eric at the Paradise in Boston when he was touring. "Whole Wide World" was fantastic live and the crowd ate it up! One of those perfect moments of pop in a great environment. Great post!
